GST invoice generator

Fill in your details, add the items you sold with their HSN or SAC code and GST rate, and download a GST tax invoice as a PDF. It runs in your browser from the keyboard, with no account.

How to make a GST invoice

  1. Enter your business name, address, state and GSTIN, then the buyer's name, state and GSTIN if they are registered.
  2. Add a line for each item or service with its HSN or SAC code, quantity, rate and GST percentage.
  3. Check the preview. The tax splits into CGST and SGST when the buyer is in your state, and shows as IGST for any other state.
  4. Finalise the invoice to give it the next number in your series, then download the PDF.

What a GST tax invoice carries

A tax invoice names the supplier and the buyer, carries a unique invoice number and date, lists each item with its HSN or SAC code, taxable value and tax rate, and shows the CGST, SGST or IGST charged and the total. You remain responsible for the details you enter and for filing your returns.

Questions and answers

Is the GST invoice generator free?
You can make and download invoices without paying and without an account.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Open the editor and start. Your invoices stay in your browser. Sign in later if you want your workspace to follow you across devices.
How is CGST, SGST and IGST decided?
By the buyer's state. When it matches your state the tax splits equally into CGST and SGST. For any other state it is IGST. The total tax is the same either way.
Where are my invoices stored?
In your browser, on the device you used. They are not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them, so download the PDFs you need.
Does it file or register the invoice with the GST portal?
No. It makes the invoice and the PDF. Registering an e-invoice and filing your returns stay with you and your accountant.
